The sport or activity of climbing rock faces, especially with the aid of ropes and special equipment. The best attraction for the Mountaineers is the North of Pakistan. Northern part is covered with four great mountain ranges, Karakorum, Himalayas, Hindu-Kush and Pamir with densest concentration of high peaks on earth, including the second highest peak, K-2 (8611mM).

HIGHEST PEAKS OF PAKISTAN:
There are five peaks out of fourteen above 8000m high on the earth, the second highest rock pyramid, the K-2 ( 8611m), the Nanga Parbat (8125m), the Hidden peak (8068m), the Broad peak (8047m) and the Gasherbrum-11 (8035m).

Mount. K-2
K-2, the world’s second highest peak, second only to Mount Everest. K2 is located in the Karakoram Range and lies partly in a China.

Nanga Parbat
The route of the first ascent follows a narrow ridge to the summit. On the southern side is the largest mountain face on earth, the 15,000 ft Rupal Face, which is a single wall of rock and ice. Climbers have named the Nanga Parbat, which means naked mountain, the Killer Mountain

Gasherbrum-1
The word “Gasherbrum” is often claimed to mean “Shining Wall”, presumably a reference to the highly visible face of Gasherbrum IV, it comes from “rgasha” (beautiful) + “brum” (mountain) in Balti, hence it actually means “beautiful mountain”.

Broad Peak
Broad Peak is the 12th highest mountain in the world. Broad Peak is part of the Gasherbrum massif in Baltistan on the border of Pakistan and China. It is located in the Karakoram Mountain. The mountain has several summits: Broad Peak (8051 m), Rocky Summit (8028 m), Broad Peak Central (8011 m), Broad Peak North (7490 m), and Kharut Kangri (6942 m).
